Stephen has certainly been bigging this up quite a bit. On Radio 2 earlier he said this has the potential to create the same buzz that the early days on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? did. Somehow I don't see this running for 22 years and be sold to over 100 countries.
It's ok... but it's yet another gameshow that's filled with pointless gumph to fill an hour timeslot.

To be fair on that one, since we haven't had a series of I'm a Celeb since that announcement most people will probably be non the wiser there so not a huge clanger

This was nothing earth shattering, but I don’t see where the rumours about it being unbroadcastably bad came from. I’ve seen far worse.
It was basically fine, not something I’d rush to watch every week but personally found it more watchable than Catchphrase. Might do OK (share wise anyway, it’s not going to get a big audience in the slot it has).

Yes agree it was far better than Small Fortune.
Stephen Mulhern certainly helped, and in lesser hands it might not have worked at all, but if anything it might work better again with improved celebs. None of the Corrie stars really added much tonight, next week’s celebs are Joel Dommett, Chris Kamara and Gemma Collins who (love or loathe GC) might add more to it. Think Jimmy Carr is on a later episode as well who could be good.

Format was fine but not anything special. I'm suprised it didn't feel like it dragged too much despite only 15 questions. No need for the celebs to be there, we've seen more than enough times that good contestant casting will give a show enough personality. Can see this being recommissioned as a holiday filler for Tipping Point or Tenable.
