Either my mind is playing games with me or I am just getting old but I always thought Roger cook was Central and not Yorkshire!!!

Well that's what I thought actually but could have sworn he said Yorkshire in at least one of the clips (it mentioned he was in Leeds). Though they've just shown a clip of him saying he's from Central, so did I mishear or did it change franchises at some point?

Distressing scenes with the animals there.

Roger Cook was and still is a fantastic undercover reporter - the nearest ITV have at the moment I suppose is Jonathan Maitland (excluding the journalists at ITN).

He definately did say "Yorkshire TV" in those clips at the start of the programme.

I understand that the standard 30 minute programme was a Central production. However, when the series run ended, and came back as "one off specials", these were produced by Yorkshire TV.

Roger Cook is a great example of why we need journalists and the fourth estate IMO. I think it's in the public interest to know about these things and hopefully somebody will do something about it..... unfortunately this programme now isn't to promising with things being as they were.

I like his direct way of interviewing, makes it great TV.

I wasn't hearing things then.

Of course when he went back to Tanzania, he identified himself as being from ITV.

How laughable that programmes like Jeremy Kyle get nominated for "best factual" at the National Television Awards when programmes like The Cook Report and Survival are far more deserving of the accolade. Good to see Roger back; time for a new series.

How about putting Tonight and The Cook Report together?

The Tonight Report with Roger Cook.

Obviously ditch Sir Trev as he's going back to newsreading.
