More patronising was ITV's decision to pull Airline in the first place. If every single programme was pulled because of assumed sensitivity to current events, what would broadcasters be able to show?

Even though Julian was on daytime duty yesterday, I found his "Well, due to today's events we felt it was inappropriate to show today's scheduled edition of Airline" was patronising.

I believe the programme was pulled because it was an episode that features a security alert inside one of the airports. But you'd never think about that.

Did I read somewhere that Robin is a teacher as well ?
He certainly is the best and most conscientious of the current UTV announcers. He doesn't seem to be in vision an awful lot though

What a pity the network ITV1 announcers can't use the same sort of imagination in there so-called 'crafted words of wisdom'

Out of all of the announcers at UTV, he does seem to put in the most effort with his scripts.

I have to agree that Robin Taylor is one brilliant announcer, and when appearing IV is a perfect example of why that method of announcing is so much better than spending a fortune on graphics.

Correct me if I'm wrong but UTV would have no say in whether Airline was shown or not, seeing it's on the network feed, would they?
Unless they had their own separate copy of the tape, they're tied to ITV whether they like it or not!
