I agree that the scripting is leaving a bit to be desired - it does look very nice in HD though! (Compared to the overly compressed, lego-brick SD of The X Factor - which is close to unwatchable on satellite - like most of ITVs digital outlets)

are there ant sneaky peaky caps of the HD broadcasts? I'm rather interested. Same goes for torchwood

There's definitely something very odd at points with the structure of the dialogue (I noticed this even last week with Paul Cornell's episode - and he's generally a very good dialogue writer).

It seems that someone in the hierarchy has decided that contractions shouldn't be used a lot of the time, which just makes some of the lines sound very stilted, rather than giving it an 'ancient' feel. Especially as contractions are used at other points :S
