I've watched the first 2 episodes but I'm now giving up. It's awful and clearly is not going to get any better. It's so slow, the dialogue is horrific and the 2 lead roles were horribly mis-cast.

I agree. I gave it a second chance (all the reviews said the first one was dodgy), but it just failed. The script is poor (with too many political swipes), and there's not enough fun! It's a real let down.

I havent seen last nights yet (there is so much on ITV1 on a Saturday I cant fit it in) but I enjoyed last weeks more than the first one. I will probabaly stick with it and see how it goes.

The problem is they hyped it up to be another huge series like Doctor Who when it isnt.

It's not even in the same league as the brilliantly written Doctor Who. I agree, the hype didn't help. Even Doctor Who didn't get advertisements on buses - it was ridiculous.

I'd be very careful with figures published by Murdoch's papers.
Have you noticed in the Sunday Times the viewers' comments in the TV section? They all have criticisims about Terrrestrial TV programmes.
Strange - but I've neved read one about Sky TV's output...

Still RH got 6 million viewers and more importantly 27% of the network audience which is pretty good up against the X - Factor and Ant and Dec. What were Sky's figures I wonder?

I have to admit, I've not been 'blown away' with this latest adaptation.

For me there are a number of fundermental problems. Firstly, the menace simply isn't there. I remember an article saying Robin isn't black and white, good and bad and yet that's exactly what I've found the character to be, even 2d.
Now Allen, he's another matter. I'm affraid I simply don't find him scary, despite all the EastEnder'sesque whispering.

Umm, this is definately one of those programmes which, for me, will either be a hit or miss, but it's certainly not been a hit so far...

No denying the figures are going down, but 6m is still pretty decent nowadays - especially when the otherside is pulling in more at the same time.

It'll be interesting to see how things change now Ant and Dec are out of the picture.

Anyone still watching this?

Having now watched episodes 3 and 4, I thought episode 3 was quite poor and it failed to hold my attention. Episode 4 (last nights) was much better though and I really enjoyed it.

Be interesting to see how it did in the ratings last night as the first part was up against X Factor, the second part against WWTBAM.

Still watching, but it's not a case of "must watch" I don't think.

They've got to begin expanding on the other characters really - although it's obviously the theme of the series there is only so much Robin & Marian and Robin vs the Sheriff you can take.

I must say though that though initially they weren't quite right both Robin and Marian are settling into their roles nicely.

was slightly better last night.

Now without Ant and Dec it's the best thing on between the two parts of X Factor.

The BBC could do with putting it back half an hour or so allowing it to inherit the audience that switch over after The X Factor.

( But then that probably means putting back the start of SCD, which in turn would affect the start of The X Factor, so they'll just go round in circles!)

Or if The X Factor moves to around 7pm once Afterlife has finished, put Robin Hood on before it and then SCD directly against The X Factor.

I think the time it goes out is fine as it is. Same sort of slot as Doctor Who had.
