Watched Episode 2 tonight on Sky+, must say its a HELL of alot better than Episode 1..

why are you posting in this thread, it has nothing to do with talkbackTHAMES

Why are you posting in this thread, it has nothing to do with Robin Hood

a bit like the supermarket sweep thread had nothing to do with tv presentation

..and a Robin Hood thread does?

You seem to have a major chip on your shoulder and I have no idea why. If you have a problem I'd prefer to do it in PM rather than hijacking another perfectly normal thread by your rants and raves.

i wouldnt call a valid point a rant and rave... after all - 64% of metropollers agree with me.

Asa, the owner and creator of this site, gave his full permission for the thread to be made. If you have any problems with that then I suggest you take it out with him. Oh, and 64% is hardly a vast majority is it? anyway, enough Off Topic boredom - back to Robin Hood discussion..

Why does it bother you and others so much. Its only an internet forum. At the end of the day who really cares.

Back on topic and does anyone know if Robin Hood is intended to be a recurring series or is it a one-off which just about covers everything about the legend in the 13 episodes.

If it is successfull they might do a prequel I believe, with Robin in the Holy Land.

And it will depend on how good the ratings are whether it will get another series. if its a hit I cant see the BBC not commissioning more series, just like with Doctor Who.

I believe one of the cast said in a GMTV interview that they started location filming again in March next year. Which implies it's already been recommisioned.

Found this on MediaGuardian:

Mr Fincham added that he was pleased with the performance of the new drama Robin Hood. A second series had not yet been commissioned but he said a decision on whether to do so would be taken within the next month or so. The stars have been optioned for another run and filming will start in March for the second series, to air this time next year - if Mr Fincham and the drama super-commissioner, Jane Tranter, give it the green light.

I think it will be given a second run - the ratings are good, if not exceptional. I think the hype didn't help the show though. Many were obviously disappointed. BBC One were hoping for another Doctor Who but it wasn't to be.

I've watched the first 2 episodes but I'm now giving up. It's awful and clearly is not going to get any better. It's so slow, the dialogue is horrific and the 2 lead roles were horribly mis-cast.
