I'd have thought the chances are rather slim, have you ever thought of contacting RTÉ about this? As you'd have a better chance with them.

Hi, just wondering if anybody has any clips of the Riverdance interval performance from the Eurovision in Dublin 1994. If anyone does have a video I would be most grateful if they could post it here.

Its something I would like to see again.
Not wishing to overstate it, it was (in my opinion) so unexpectedly breathtaking it completely overshadowed the rest of the show.
I'm sure there must be a clip on the net somewhere, so add me to the list.
PS: This should be in the Requests forum.

I have that video Dan. It's the only one I ever taped (I swear!), and I'm sure it is lurking in this flat somewhere.
I'll let you know if I find it.

I wouldn't mind seeing it as well. I'm also looking out for video of the UK interval act in 1998.

It just occurred to me you might be being sarcastic.
Deeply concerned, Edinburgh.

I could watch the last few minutes of Riverdance clip all night.
Was amazing, no interval act since has lived upto it. Aqua were quite good in 2001 and the Riga videos were nice enough, but Riverdance was amazing.

The finest Interval act at Eurovision ever in my opionion and nothing has come close to it since. Also, wasn't RTÉ's 1994 Song Contest the last one to be accompanied by an orchestra? The Eurovision Song Contest hasn't been the same with backing tracks. Even when the BBC hosted the contest, an orchestra didn't return. Given that the BBC has found that live accompaniements to Strictly Dance Fever and Strictly Come Dancing have added immeasurably to the appeal and quality of those shows, maybe (should we ever win the thing again) a live orchestra could again be part of the event?
