BS
Very sad news.
BBC News article
It's strange how, once someone's hair has gone grey, they seem older than they really are. I thought Inman was probably "old"(ish) even in his AYBS days! But he obviously must have only been in his 30s when AYBS was around, if he was 71 in 2007.
Can we have a UK DVD release of "Grace and Favour", in his honour? (A mate of mine had to order-in "G&F" (re-branded as "Are You Being Served Again?" for the US market) on DVD from the USA, at great expense, a year or two back, because it's never been on video/DVD here)

Was he in Revolver? I can only remember Leslie Philips opening a bizzare vault.
Anyway, I saw the news of his failing health in my newspaper only the other day. His partner reported that his Hepatitis was making him quite distant.
A fantastic comedy actor, up there with the likes of Frankie Howerd and Kenneth Williams. I'm probably being a bit stereotypical there but RIP John.

A real shame hearing of his death. It still sounds strange; John Inman Dies.
I don't want to sound pedantic but Mr Inman had Hepatitis A. But you can get vaccines to eventually get rid of it. I wonder if Mr Inman got himself vaccinated, unless he was really ill.
It's about time BBC1 started showing Are You Being Served? --- after EastEnders even and I bet it will still get high viewers!
