Bob Hope has Died... SKYnews is showing an obituary tribute programme throughout the day

A programme that was made three years ago.

I fail to see what Sky News are playing at by devoting so much airtime this afternoon to Bob Hope. I came home from work at 4.30, and SN were showing a programme that made no sense to me whatsoever until I checked Active.

It must be because it's the silly season.

All the straps are in the 1998 style, so look so small and out of place on present day SKYnews

bob hope was a true legend, he will be missed only 7 weeks after his 100th birthday too.

I only turned over before 5pm to watch for half an hour, I only turn it on when there is nothing else on, or I have nothing to do!

Did they really make his obituary three years ago?! That seems somewhat cruel!

thats the news biz for ya, every great entertainer or member of the government has an obituary prepaired

...having said that, the Queen Mum's obit was in storage for 20-odd years before they got to use it...

Very few entertainers can be described as legends, and Bob Hope certainly comes into that category. A true great, who will be very sadly missed.

It must have been a very poor news day today. I was surprised to see Channel 4 News leading with Bob Hope today. It's not very often they lead with a showbiz story.

Well News24 beat sky on this one. They broke the news of his death and showed the obit four years ago. Opps

You don't really expect obituary packages to be made the instant someone dies do you?
