Discussion on Richard & Judy now. Deeply upsetting for all the team at Channel 4, as can be seen.

There was also a good tribute to him at the end of This Morning they showed some Countdown clips and clips of him appearing on This Morning. Its very sad news I didn't always watch Countdown but Richard Whiteley made Countdown what it is today. Alot of people would always poke fun at him and he would be none the wiser he would even play along anyone remember the Good Morning with Richard and Richard sketch he did with Rory Bremner that was a classic in my opinion.

Desert Island Dicks carried on without Roy Plomey

That's one programme Richard Whiteley would certainly never have been invited on to.

Here are some replacements now that Richard's died

Noel Edmonds, A chance for him to get back on TV again

Bruse Forsyth, He would liven things up and he might bring in a sexy young dolly dealer to do Carol's role

Kelly Brook, With Celebrity Love Island now finshed She can front the show and stir up to have a bonk with Giles Brandeth at the dictonray corner

Jodie Marsh, Same as above. She might have a bit of fun with the young male contestents too

Phillipa Forrester, Someone once said she had good brains like Carol

Michael Fish, Now that he's retired from the weather, He could have a chance

Ant and Dec, Two for the price of one. One hosts and the other does the letters and numbers

Crazy Frog, He would be so good and they might have Sweetie Chick doing Carol's role and Nessie the Dragon in the dictonray corner

My Granny, Even she might be better than Richard and my newly born sister could do Carol's role with Pope Benidat XVI in the dictourey corner.

PS If Countdown goes on, Will they have a huge picture frame of Whiteley above the new host's seat to prove he was a C4 legend

Scottishender ---- you have published this list already - it was inappropriate then, and it is even more so now. Making light of Richard Whiteley's death less than 24 hours after his death is appalling. I also feel that there is sufficient annoyance among other members on this forum at your posts that you will soon find six letters against your name (you can do the anagram yourself)

It is a shame that Richard Whiteley has passed away - he made Countdown what it is and I don't think there can be another replacement. I personally think that Friday's episode will be the last ever one as I doubt it can still keep going without him.
I think that the only way that it could keep on going was if it kept it's same style and had a similar presenter (if that's possible) and also for it to move back to the 4.15 slot - a much better time IMO.
Out of interest, if today's episode was cancelled then how will they fit the five shows for this week into four? Will there be two editions tomorrow?

RIP Richard.

Can you let me know when enough time has passed for me to make light of the situation, please?

Will do Wink - I realise that there is no right time to make light of anyone's death, but this "scottishender" bloke has been getting on my tits for too long, and it's time that he disappeared.

May Richard rest in peace.

Scottishender - you really are scum for posting such utter garbage like that in a thread like this - why dont you crawl back under the rock you emerged from!

nodnirG kraM - Of course people should be allowed to deal with Richards death in whatever manner they wish, but do you really think making a posting such as what scottishender just did in a tribute thread is appropriate? I think not.

They're going to show both semi-finals on Thursday, I think.

There is a tribute/documentary at 4pm on Friday after the grand final.

That seems a fitting point at which to stop, really.
