If you ask me what the best bit is from CNN, then my answer would have to be Richard Quest.
That guy is mad Cool and always fun to watch Laughing . He presents his programmes in his own way.

Now is my question for you all to think about...
Now that the BBC is busy doing their news make-over, what would you think if Richard Quest goes to BBC News for a change?

Hes already been there, done that!

Before "moving to pastures new" he fronted the New York side of the Word Business Report with Paddy in London.

It would be nice to have him back though.

He also presented the business news on BBC World for years, before going over to New York to become one half of the infamous Richard and Paddy duo. The show was worth watching back in those days!!!

Richard Quest is certainly quite a character, and interestingly and importantly he is quite well known, and I mean not just by sad people like you or me, but 'normal' people are also aware of him. I know a few people who are have talked about him, one person even refered to him as Mr Brain rather oddly, but meant in the nicest possible terms. I think he is excellent, he is a stable presence in the turbulent world of finance.

He are his articles from BBC NOL: Richard Quest reports!

And here he is back in NY on BBC World all those years ago: http://www.zabalo.com/informativostv/images/BBC/BBCW99/bbcw1999wbrafterthenews.jpg

(He is the centre image, with Paddy on the right and I think Tanya Beckett on the left. Capture is from http://www.zabalo.com/informativostv/)

That sounds like there's a wee bitty too much gunge in his throat?

He's excellent at CNN. I always make a point of watching BizNews when I get home from Uni (of course, it's shown in the afternoon all the way over this side of the globe). CNN London has some excellent people, such as Richard, as well as Becky Anderson. When the two of them pair up, it's always good viewing. Smile

Richard Quest certainly is a bit of a nutter with his stiff upper lip British accent... I saw him coming off Concorde the other day on the BBC News Special... I remeber last Christmas during BizNews they had "The 12 Days of Christmas" by The Muppets in the background and they always faded it up to hear Miss Piggy singing "Five Gold Rings"....
