Come Dine with Me will be the big winner out of this in the short term at least - and best of all, it's cheap with just a weekly £1000 prize.


I'm sure though C4 will begin looking for someone else to ultimately fill the slot, especially with Paul going - and IMO they need to try and find a balance between the two.

I mean that they should bring it back with other presenters but with different features and a different appearance, so not to simply have the same titles, same set, same logo with two different names as the title. That's the only problem with it being named after the presenters. Maybe use a title that doesn't feature the names. I'm not saying that it would patronise people, I'm saying that it would be strange to keep it exactly the same as certain things are more associated with Richard & Judy (and the R&J brand) than they are to the programme, such as You Say, We Pay (well they can have that), and the book/wine clubs.

At the moment Paul O'Grady has said he'll quit at the end of his new contract - but of course by 2009 he could have changed his mind - though I think even if he was persuaded to remain he'd appear less regularly than now.
