I have seen some bog-standard prime-time programmes in my time, but this one takes the biscuit!!

The music sounds like the Eurovision Song Contest, the graphics are an awful colour and basically it's at the wrong time of the day - live at 5 is already chocked full! Stick em back in the morning!!

I noticed they are still very 'this morning' with them having a 'coming up' section at the start, the sofas and basically the SAME programme only it's on at 5 O'Clock and is of C4.

Incidentally does anyone know who makes it - I will proberly miss the endboard!

It's crap, basically it doesn't know what it want's to be, and I agree that it is the totally wrong time of day for this type of programming.

Richard and Judy's prolonged absence from the screen made me realise how much I hadn't missed them and Judy seems particularly uncomfortable with it all.

Richard continues to be the patronising know it all he always has been.

I had some hopes for this programme, but as soon as the music started and I began to wince in pain I knew it wasn't going to do very well for itself.

Dire. Simply dire.

It's a Cactus production for Channel 4.

Didn't see it but according to the posts above I think that edit of the quote is quite right Wink .

I was planning to watch all of it but I gave up after half an hour. It was ridiculous, I was expecting something light and consumery not plain c**p.

The Spookman bit was very overdone and I couldn't stand the interview with Les Dennis and Amanda Holden (incidentally it was so phoney and its obvious she isn't really interested in him - see the dirty look she gave him just as the cameras got on them bad move!) I was expecting horoscopes and consumer affairs but I got yet another celebrity show and the celebrity interviews didn't have the informality and funness of This Morning.

Still maybe it'll settle?

Couple of things..
Apparently it's in a specially constructed studio somewhere 'sarf of the the river'. Presumably The London Studios (prop. Granada) was out of bounds and channel 4's own 124 facilities, couldnt have 1 production jam up a studio for 10-ish months of the year.

2. Where were the mics..? It sounded Richards was still on top of the camera, where he put it down just before transmission.

3. Were my eyes deciving me, or did it look like in the phone-in at one point, Richard was actually putting the callers to air on the switchboard. There were a couple of clicks, and R's hands were lurching about under the table.

Give it time people - I just about remember the first This Morning, and that was a REAL rabbits in the highlights job.

Well it'll have to fight hard against

BBC ONE - Blue Peter, Newsround and Neighbours
BBC TWO - Ready, Steady, Cook and The Weakest Link

And whatever is on ITV at that time - is it Crossroads? I know which one I will choose - Neighbours!

Actually, I'm not sure it does have that much competition.

Newsround and Blue Peter? Oh please...
The Weakest Link? The gameshow that's been sold worldwide yet fails to muster much of an audience
And Crossroads... the little said the better.

I'll agree that it's dire, but it's worrying the best thing on at that time of the afternoon - other than Live at Five on Sky News, and I shouldn't think that would appeal to the typical Richard and Judy viewer.

It's in Kennington - South London

I thought it was quite good, except ther were wnough items in there to last for 2 programmes.... instead they just did them all very quickly in one programme

And what was that spooky man thing all about?... there was nothing there!!

i watched the show all the way through, and saw exactly what i expected... it wasnt good, but it is uncharted territory for richard and judy, and i guess the show will take a while to grow into the slot.

i have always thought there wasnt much variety in the 5-6 slot, and im sure alot of people would welcome an alternative to quizes and soaps.

improvements: id extend it by 1/2 an hour, give each item a reasonable amount of time, introduce a short(relaxed)news bulletin near the start(to capture people looking for news, who will watch the rest of the show after), and make it-to an extent topical.
