I wonder if the competitions will return in the Paul O'Grady show considering Paul has spoken out about how he's felt forced to continuously plug competitions - and C4 be wanting to keep him sweet in wake of the Sky offer (though it's an offer I don't think Paul would accept)

The way they used to promote the competition twice at the start of the show was always a bit jarring, even back to the earliest ITV shows
He'd promote the competition in the 'coming up tonight' bit at around 5.10 and then go straight into advertising the competition fully before the first ad break
This lead to him saying "Haven't we just done this?" as the comedy sound effect played for the 2nd time

I suppose it will depend on whether the same company that provided the lines for You Say We Pay are the same company that provide them for Paul O'Grady, so if they are still under review they may not be back.

Well C4 have said Eckoh - who are at the centre of most these controversies - only supply Richard and Judy and C4 Racing - and they've been dumped from the latter now too.
I know what you mean, I think Paul's show should go back to what it was like when it first started, with more time for e-mails, etc, it used to be hilarious, and although still can be, he does just try a bit too hard sometimes. I hope the show has a new look or a new set, just something to make it differ from previous series (apart from the 'New' being dropped from the title)

It
is
the same as what it was when it first started. That's the problem - the show is so tired and predictable. As annoying as Richard is the show has a good mix and works well. Sadly though they're really not getting a fair ride out of this deal. No sooner has the series started it's over.
