Paul is out of contract at ITV, there was no deal in place for another series.

Was reading in the paper today that Richard & Judy are apparently far from happy with the arrangement and are considering retirement Shocked

They should because they are so dull and their time is over. They had a good run but the show isn't as good as their old show on This Morning and Judy shakes far too much.

Is it just me or is Martin Lewis one of the most annoying people on TV.

His whole excited "Sign up for 10 credit cards, spend £50 on each, you'll save 27p a year" patter really annoys me.

He seems to pop up on half a dozen different shows on ITV

I actually really quite enjoyed today's show, and laughed out loud at two different bits.

I don't think Richard Hammond is likeable enough to front this show. His whole character doesn't quite seem to sit with the guests and the audience for some reason.

It's a refreshing change from the likes of the Paul O'Grady Show, and it has grown on me, but they need to sort out the chemistry between Richard and everyone else! Oh, and rename it 'The 5 O'Clock Show' or 'The 5 O'Clock Show with Richard and Mel'.

I think it is called Richard Hammond's 5 O'clock show because if it was called the 5 O'clock show with Richard and Mel it would sound too much like "Richard and Judy" and "Des and Mel" also I think it was Richard that chose the co host

this show got 2m viewers for the pilot according to ITV Sales, not bad

Richard and Mel work well together and it's a really fun recording. The show is made by SO television, which is Graham Norton's company, so they must know what they are talking about!!

Does not compute. Apart from SO Television producing a hell of a lot of cack (I include Graham Norton's various series in this), past performance is not an indicator of future prosperity, as they say in the investment community. Or, more bluntly, everyone fouls up sometimes.

If you need to go to a recording to get the idea of a tv show, hasn't it failed? All very well saying "You had to be there" but the whole point of TV is that you don't have to be there.

It's on until the 8th February and not one day is sold out.

That's bad. Very Happy

That could be because that ticket distributer isn't exactly the best, if they use a diffrent distributer they would probably get more audince members, some people on Monday see the 5 O'clock show and then go to the bigger picture after as it is in the next studio

I notice that today's competition question, with lines closing at 5.45pm, was today announced at 5.45pm.

Is that the Graham Norton Show? I thought they filmed that at BBC Television Centre.

I must admit that I really didn't like the show when it started, but now I really do enjoy it. It's totally different from Paul O Grady and other chat shows, and I believe that it's actually finding its feet, and I'm liking it. Its a nice enjoyable hour of fun, and it's become less watchdoggy in the process.

I have to admit the first week was pants.

However (due to enforced watching, by illness) the following weeks have livened up, and it is quite a refreshing programme. Friday's show was very watchable.

It does need more work, but a second series needs to be comissioned.

I'd have to be very ill not to be able to summon up the energy to switch this show off.

A second series - don't hold your breath. With the ratings the way they are, they'll be lucky to make it to the end of this one...
