You gave the show 3 minutes before announcing your considered opinion?

I'm sticking with it!

I wasn't sure what to expect but I didn't realise it was going to be such a departure from Paul O Grady.

The show contains a lot of experiments and techy-type stuff.

There have been a few awkward moments but they have managed to turn it around to comic effect.

It is quite refreshing to have a break from the chaos on Paul O Grady and I will cetainly tune in again.

Whoever warmed the audience up needs to do a better job tomorrow as they have let the programme down hugely today!

Cringeworthy telly at it's best.

I wasn't keen on this programme at all. Was it just me or has Mel become increasingly annoying!?! Bring back Paul quick!

What has happened to the Mel and Sue partnership? They worked well together then they split up and went their seperate ways, Sue went on CBB2, Mel on The Games etc. Have they fallen out?

Mel did name-check Sue in the programme and made a joke about Croydon - which got the biggest laugh of the evening!

It wasn't that bad - I sat through it all and it was a mixture of That's Life, Tommorow's World and This Morning.

After the first few minutes it was lame, I stayed to the end and it just didn't seem that good to me.

No, nor me. I fel some features dragged on for a hell of a lot longer than they should have (Barbie packging etc) and some cringewrothy moments included various jokes that Mel and Richard tried to make, but without any laughter from the audience.

Girls like Richard Hammond but as I've said on numerous occasions to my friends James May & Jeremy Clarkson are much better hosts on Top Gear. In fact why James May is shunted to the sidelines on Top Gear God alone knows. Did you see his programme on old toys? Brilliant stuff.

Hammond is good when surrounded by other presenters, on his own he can be very dull. I can just see Victor Lewis-Smith getting ready to rip into this one.

Richard Hammond is good on the excellent "Brainiac Science Abuse" programme - but this new one is just chronic.

The whole thing just screamed out "over rehearsed" to me - especially the messy bit at the end.

Richard: "I think you better slap one more pie on just to be sure"
Mel: "Are you sure?"
Richard: "Yes"
Mel slaps the pie in Richard's face

That (along with the rest of the show) just seemed very very staged to me.
