I think Hole In The Wall is the problem. Let's face it, if you were involved in that programme, would you really want to be credited?
Well unsurprisingly there were problems...

EDIT: If they are going to do this the need to alter their own guidelines which currently state...
"End Credits should be delivered justified to the centre and may be either cards or a vertical scroller."

...no point saying that cards are acceptable if they are going to use this new version for any significant length of time. I think Martin's mock is far superior to what the BBC have opted for.

Was it a fluke on the end of Hole in the Wall or have they managed to eliminate the annoying glitch when the DVE is switched in for the squeeze?

That truly is appalling. If someone posted that in the Mocks forum they would be chastised.

Really got me annoyed when I saw that.
On a different note, when browsing the guidelines I noted that the action line caption still looked like the dancer era slide for it.

Did it look like that when it was actually shown, or did it use the new font?

It's almost as if they've attempted to squeeze the text into the box but it wasn't readable so they thought "ah f*ck it!"

It's pretty rough isn't it. You'd think they'd have made some allowance for longer programme titles. Branding people can get terriby uptight about compressing prescribed fonts, but there are times when you have to. To me though, that font size just looks a couple of points too big. The ability to add a second line of text would help too.
