Where did you hear that? I think it would be pointless for that to go ahead, because the audience wouldn't know when the news is on. It would confuse us all. And also, it would be getting to be like ITV's news at 10, when they only have it on certain days. I also think they would loose audience figures!
So if they were going to change it, it should be on at the same time every day!

Now that is extremely annoying! I found this when the started films at 9.00pm on ITV, and they then cut for News at Ten! Why on earth did they do that! You either forgot what was going on before the film cut, or you simply couldn't be bothered watching the rest!

I think 9PM is a better time. Since the ten o clock news started, BBC 1 started films at 9-9:30PM so we have a 35 minute break in between 2 parts of the film- you forget whats going off!

I have heard that BBC bosses are planning to have the 9 o clock news on some days and the 10 o clock news on others. Can anyone shed any light on this?!

Unless everyone at the BBC is lying, the Ten has been a tremendous success and there is no intention of moving it. Also Ariel have had a nice article celebrating the Ten's first birthday, so I don't expect to see it moving soon.

Interesting to read today that ITN are writing to the government and asking them to force the BBC to move the 10.00 news back to 9.00! ITN are claiming that the audience has in fact dropped since the move from 5.2 to 4.8 million.
What business is it of ITN to poke their nose in? They just want the BBC news out of the way so it doesn't clash with News at Ten-ish. Neither ITN nor the government should not be allowed to dictate the BBC's schedules.
