Has anyone else from Scotland watched the new Reporting Scotland with Jackie and David presenting?

I can only imagine that they are totally un-used to working as a pair as the 'chat' they do between segments is awful! Niether seem to know when to stop chatting.

The other night Jackie interrupted David commenting on the sports headlines by saying, 'If we can just get back to the job...'! I think he was a little shocked!

Jackie though - I must say, is brilliant. I'm sure once they get used to it then it'll flow a bit easier.

Any other regions having this problem?

Still, don't you think it makes the programme a bit more relaxed?

Down here in Newsroom South East country, someone has stolen one half of the duo, and we just have one presenter. I personally think it makes the programme a bit more formal - and I don't like that.

Yeah, regional news should have a bit more life in it which two presenters can inject more than one. The banter the past two weeks between Clare Frisby and Peter Levy has been brilliant here in Leeds. The same two headed team works in Newcastle but in Manchester (the other one of the three I see often), Gordon Burns looks too alone - at the end when Dianne joins him they have some banter but surely they could get someone like Radio Merseyside's Linda McDermott to join him - she'd be brilliant I'm sure.

When they get it right then yeah it will definatley be a more relaxed show.

Rep Scotland has always been really stuffy. Alan Douglas was a good cheery fellow. He presented for a long time and ended up marrying his counterpart Viv Lumsden who anchored Scotrland Today on channel 3.

Sally Magnusson (daugher of Magnus and early host of London Plus) was also ok, but with no one to talk to but the weather presenter, it made for a dull show.
