Are there any other BBC Scotland viewers who noticed that from 6:30 last night we now have two anchors at the newsdesk and an extended studio?

I wondered if this was because the Irish Prime Minister was in Scotland yesterday and they went Live to him attending a special ceremony. I think its unlikely that they modified the studio for one night, but I'll tune in tonight to see.

I managed to tape most of the show but as yet I dont have capturing facilities. Did anyone manage to get it?

As has been said in an earlier post Reporting Scotland is now 'double-headed' with David Robertson and Jackie Bird or whoever.
By all accounts all the audience research they did suggested that's what people wanted and it gave them more flexibility.

They could do with a redesigned desk though as you can see the other presenter flicking through their scripts in the shot whilst the other reads. Perhaps a slightly rounder desk would compensate for this.

And as one of their audience I do like it very much!
