Re-opening the Post

Having already been stunned by this programme just 15mins in I am now very concerned about something I have had a concern about for over a year now.... my own mail.

I've had bills (which are posted 2nd class) arrive over a week from the date enclosed within the bill - leaving me even less time to pay it. I guess it could be the companies billing me doing it so I'll get charged a late payment fee but it seems far fetched that they all do it.

I've sent letters and the replies to some seem to take some time - this could just be the person on the other end not replying.

I've known letters to never get to their destination. I've got packages arriving 2 or 3 days late... is anyone else having problems with Royal Mail?
