If so, did they just crash into them or was there some sort of 'presfax' or talkback type of arrangement with Southamption?

During the eighties there was open talkback between the TVS Presentation Director and Announcer and their counterparts at Channel. I remember forgetting one day, being slightly rude about a particular beach on Jersey and getting an 'earful' back over the talkback.

I caught it, he had a nice send off, but it was more of a big plug for the new website, but it was a nice story they told about why Oscar likes the internet. Worth noting it was the last story on ITV News Channel TV, again more like a promotion for the new website.

Saturday's episode was more of a nostalgic look back.

I'm sure they said the new website would be launching today, but it currently says "New website coming soon!"

Very basic, why is it a voice over only now with very broken speech.
Maybe I long for the Kevin Pamplin days - the type of continuity missed from TV these days.
