It’s grade-II listed, if it was going to be done, the Olympics would have been the time.

I don't quite understand that logic. The fact it survived the Olympics has no bearing on anything.

Its status as a grade II listed building could be challenged and I think any developer would have a good case considering all the cosmetic and structural changes that have been inflicted on it. It's barely the same building that was granted listed status.

Surprised it's listed at all to be honest - but that wasn't the reason it survived demolition for the Olympic park - originally it was due to be knocked down, but ultimately just fell out of the area.

To be honest IMO the house now externally at least probably looks the worst it ever has done so. That said though it would be a huge shame to see it demolished so if it's listed status protects that then great, and it wouldn't take that much to neaten it up.
Turns out nobody had 2020 vision.

The house being on the market is making all the main news sites today. Incredible how it still manages to generate so much interest after all these years.

With so much wrong information in them. They think the workshop out the back is where Johnny did his shed interviews!

I was listening to the Chris Evans breakfast show this morning, while I was getting ready to go out, and the conversation got onto BAFTAS. Chris casually mentioned how he'd got one for The Big Breakfast, but basically the show wrote itself. I have not had chance to listen back to it but the time was between 7:30 and 8:00

It wouldn't take much to put right...

Until the revamp in 1996 when they put Denise in the helicopter did the big breakfast ever do travel news? Radio times from October 1992 lists ‘News, weather and travel every 20 minutes’. I watched most mornings at this time and can’t remember it.

Let’s take away the current layout and turn it back to how it looked back in 1992 complete with original props from the show (I’m sure some former crew members may have picked up one or two items along the way) It’s confirmed by Mike McClean himself he has the presenters chairs from 2002.

I don't remember any travel before the chopper. I do remember the awful "I'm Denise van Outen about" outcue when she handed back to the house.
Write that down in your copybook now.

Just £2441.61 each if every member contributes.

The Telecopter didn't last long but was probably worth every penny for bringing Denise into the show.
