Anyways, BBC & Sky both observed the silence as usual, although BBC only seemed to do so on BBC News, although I don't think it happened on ITV.

Well I had BBC1 on at the time and it was on there

I saw a bit of ITV before 11 and they had moved the news forward to 11 in order to cover the 2 minutes silence, in fact This Morning did a nice little lead up to it too (well until the Dolmio sponsorship sting crashed in and spoilt the mood totally, that's when I turned over!)

Ha - good to see I'm the only one who doesn't like the Dolmio sponsorship stings - the new ones for "Extras" are worse than the original ones!

In their normal context they're fine, crashing in on a solumn tune played on a trumpet by a soldier - annoying

Bet some prat will try ringing me at work at 11AM.

I've got an answerphone on my works line, but it's not easy to turn off, unless I pull the leccy plug out!

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having an answerphone in the first place?

Well some prat did ring.

I let the answerphone take it, but they didn't leave a message.

Planks.
