I hope it isn't boxed in like on the current promos. I can imagine it working quite well if it uses the full screen with lines forming to create the logo.
http://www.channel4.com/film/media/generic/4logo-film.gif i have a real feeling it will be boxed, but is that a bad thing? if channel 4 can make it work. they may just make some lines around the box, or something, but anything is possible. i trust them...the logo is actually starting to grow on me.
I really am not sure why people like this logo. If this had been posted in the Mocks section, it surely would have been slated. I think it looks awful, like it was made in Paint or something. How much did it cost them to make it too?

I'm not going to judge the logo yet. It may look crap as an image but with animations it might actually look quite good.
Channel 4 are probably the best when it comes to presentation so no doubt they'll make them good.
On another point, I'm glad they've changed from 'FilmFour' to 'Film4'. It seemed out of place with T4, E4, More4 etc.
Good news for DOG-haters, according to the Film4 website...

Will the Film4 free-to-air service carry any advertisements during films?
Yes, like most other free-to-air channels the new Film4 channel will have advertising breaks. We are passionate about films and it is in our interest to show them in the best possible environment, so we will do our utmost to handle advertising breaks as carefully as possible.
There will not be an on-screen logo on Film4.
