i disagree - i think the more 4 logo and idents are poor, they're just lucky that they have some great programmes. more4 should aim to have a brand as innovative and strong as c4 and e4. ok the content is worthy, sometimes serious - but by no means stale (unlike the idents).
lets hope the film4 idents make the logo come alive.

I'm dissapointed in the new logo. Maybe they're aiming for a modern-retro look, but I guess it might be okay. Channel 4 have the best presentation so I'm not complaining
Besides, on first look I hated the More4 logo but now I really like their presentation.

You know what? I've been tinkering with the logo for my website, and I don't think it looks half bad now!! It's quite subtly clever, a sort of art-deco meets fd10, rt90 commands...
Roll on the idents, Film4!

An E4 Music channel has been rumoured in the past couple of months, though it's more likely to replace E4+1 (on Freeview).
3am to 3pm are awkward hours - I think FilmFour currently screen a mixture of promos and teleshopping.
One thing they could do is team up with Top Up TV and use the downtime to play out Film4 movies to be made available via the Top Up TV Anytime service launching in the autumn.

If it's only broadcasting from 3pm onwards, what are they going to show in the downtime? Just trailers, like More4 and Quizcall do? That seems a horrendous waste. Why not turn E4Music into a channel in its own right (or 4Music, to fit in with the rest of the portfolio), running from 3am to 3pm in Film4's downtime.

You should see the new logo...

I really don't think there was any reason to change the logo too much, I mean, the Film Four logo is one of the most recognised in British cinema now.
They could have just altered it...

I also hate the logo we've seen. But let's face it, C4 are known for issuing dodgy looking press statements with their new logos, then when we see the thing on screen it's great.
When the new C4 one was unveiled I wasn't happy. Same with More4. But I love both of them now I have seen them used on screen.
I think we all ought to reserve judgement until my birthday!

I'd love to see an E4 Music channel. E4 Music is
the
best thing about E4, and I usually favour it over the bigger music channels.
Speaking of music television - TMF are re-launching the late great 'MTV Select' as 'TMF Live'. It will air weekdays 4-5 from July 24th and remain "True to the original format".
