Last night on the 10 o'clock news they featured an article on the meningitis outbreak. My dad was filmed looking down a microscope - real player file from their site 2min 56sec. I wondered if anyone else has ever had someone they know or are related to appear on tv??

I was on Newsround in 1996, after an oil spill near to where I live here in Wales. I was interviewed on the beach by the now BBC Breakfast presenter/reporter Julie Etchingham.
A few months after the main story, she did a follow-up story and interviewed me a second time (But I was edited out, and not shown the second time).
Anyway, least I got a signed pic of her

My mom is a reporter in America. It is a regional news room for the outskirts of NY. I've been on English TV News while visiting. It was very cold, and we were ice skating on a frozen river. They filmed us, and DIDN'T tell us! Huh! (BTW - I live in Leeds, England but my mom doesn't)

I personally know Geogre Alagiah, and I have his phone number! Hah! (actually I pressed 1471 when he rang my house - hey, I was being a good reporter getting contacts!) I also kewep having a laugh with Harry Gration and Sophie Raworth as we keep emailing each other, they are all SOOOOOOO nice!
I don't know of any relatives - just me:
' OPEN NIGHT ' with Mike Scott - Granada only
' GRANADA REPORTS ' recorded a section in the afternoon and watched the transmission with GORDON BURNS in his office who used to present.
' CROWN COURT ' for 6 different programmes as a 'member of the jury '. A brilliant programme to film. took all Tuesday afternoon to record 3 episodes and YES we DID decide ' Guilty or not guilty '. Authentic set and some very famous actors too.
I was on Granada Reports in the late eighties. Well, my art! Fred the weatherman (also does This Morning from the Albert Dock in Liverpool) used to display pictures that were sent to himeach night in his weather slot. I drew one of him presenting the weather and mine was featured. It was also on my birthday - they wished me a happy birthday and to get well soon - I was ill at the time (as always!)
