Sorry i can't remember the title, but if one of the mods wants to edit the Title with the correct programme title then please feel free.

It's being shown on channel 5 sometime on Monday. I read it in one of the papers but i can't remember the scheduling details ( you'll get used to me )
Anyhoo, it sounds really quite interesting. I like to think there is such a thing as reincarnation as i would love to come back as a cat. I'm also quite a sceptic of these things.

The general gist of the programme is of a young boy who, since the day he could speak has gone on and on about another family and house 160 miles away from his home in Glasgow. Isle if something. He's always wanted to visit this home of his. He is quite specific on details of the property. He has been concerned that his mother will be worried. This past family of his were quite religious and his currant family are not.
His mother contacted the programme makers and for the first time ( apparently) they tried to find this house.

I don't want to spoil it too much for you so i'll shut up for now.

There are not many of these types of progrmme that have come anywhere near convincing me of an afterlife. Most Haunted is the funniest thing i've ever seen. One or two episodes of History channels Ghost Hunters have come close to convincing me, but that's about it really.

Still following? Good!

What do reckon? Is this programme and reincarnation aload of old tosh or do you reckon it could convince the sceptics among us?

Oh is that the paper it was in? I have so many at work, i forget what i read in what paper and people wander why i get confused. Wink

For one awful moment though i thought i'd read it in the Daily Mail.

You're very vague. I love it. Laughing

That might be interesting, I suppose. Personally, I find stuff like Most Haunted far more interesting - it's become far less silly since Derek Acorah left.

Derek Acorah (not his real name) is a total self-obsessed fraud. He lost me £10 after he totally got his prediction wrong over who would win the Grand National earlier this year.

To keep in context of the thread, i would have preferred you using the word Mysterious, but heyho vague will do. Smile

What's Derek Acorah's real name?

Is David Wells doing Derek's "job" at the moment? I don't think I remember seeing the Scottish guy on the last Live! I watched, but it's hard to tell what's going on sometimes - Jamie Darling seemed to have gone, too.

And rightly so, he was awful.

Derek Acorah is purely a stage showman. He's an act, and I'm glad he's no longer on Most Haunted - its far more interesting now, even though Freeview's Ftn still insist on showing the editions with Derek. I always remember watching the Most Haunted Live shows and when things happened and Derek was 'needed' - he'd be as much use as a chocolate teapot!

I might start watching most again if he's left. So long as Yvette Fielding is still getting scared out of her wits of course. Without her the programme would be rather dull.

Nokuk, when you say that Derek Acorah is a showman an act, i take it you are using those words incredibly loosely. Wink
