With the discussion of regional farming programmes it got me thinking of many of the excellent central TV programmes. I can remember some, any I've missed?

I remember a programme that looked at how people had elaborately decorated their properties. Was it called Our House? I'm not sure if it was central only.

Heart of the Country, presented by Tony Francis, started in the 80s. Our House eventually became a Carlton-regions show presented by Sally Grey - went out in Central, London and West Country, and visited celebritys homes. A lot of the later Central regional shows, i.e. Pulling Power, were pan-regional.
There was a wonderful documentary series, Midlands only, about the restoration of the Inge Street back to backs. And a couple of series featuring Belvoir Castle. There were also Midlands versions of The Way We Were and other shows that had regional versions.

24 Hours - Here is the news. They were 3 superb documentaries behind the scenes at each of the three Central News sub regions.

Our House and Pulling Power already mentioned were both particularly popular in our family.

ISTR something called "TV Gold" which went out on Sunday afternoons in the "ITV1 for Central England" era.

Just thought of another couple:-

Asian Eye
Central Jobfinder

Jobfinder was more of an overnight filler than an actual programme, not dissimilar to ITV Nightscreen or Pages from Ceefax.

Central Weekend (Live) was still running in 2000, well into the Carlton era. When did that finally get the axe?

Asian Eye - did that start in 1982? I remember a programme like this from the very early days.

After research on Times Digital Archive, it finished in 2001 (7th September to be in fact).
