I remember a programme that looked at how people had elaborately decorated their properties. Was it called Our House? I'm not sure if it was central only.
Heart of the Country, presented by Tony Francis, started in the 80s. Our House eventually became a Carlton-regions show presented by Sally Grey - went out in Central, London and West Country, and visited celebritys homes. A lot of the later Central regional shows, i.e. Pulling Power, were pan-regional.
There was a wonderful documentary series, Midlands only, about the restoration of the Inge Street back to backs. And a couple of series featuring Belvoir Castle. There were also Midlands versions of The Way We Were and other shows that had regional versions.

24 Hours - Here is the news. They were 3 superb documentaries behind the scenes at each of the three Central News sub regions.
