News 25? Are there suddenly more hours in the day?

Do you really think that it is appropriate for supposedly serious news organizations to be decorating their TV studios with these pagan symbols?

Just typical journalist's typing I'm afraid. But isn't there a blooper of Val Sanderson calling it News 25?

Kate Garraway also called it News 25 in her days at News 24. (Before she went to Sky and then GMTV)

I know that usually the rolling news channels like sky & news 24 have trees, but it would be nice (especially as they share a studio) for itv news (and the channel therefore) to have a tree, maybe one behind the desk platform to the right of the screen. Actually with all of the space behind the platform they could have trees running all of the way along it!

On thursday I noticed East Midlands Today got a tree. It looks a bit poor!
Also NO Tree, yet, on Look East!! Does anyone know if Look East usually have a Christmas Tree?? Or will a Tree be like a "barrier" between the presenters and viewers just like the desk was!!?? Very Happy

OMG that set looks AWFUL... it looks like an Albanian news set from the early 90's...

I think that's a bit harsh. It looks a lot better in other shots, but it is no-where near as good as the last set (frosted glass panels in front of the swirly backdrop). The daytime/weekend news set is very nice, but I think it's CSO.

At least it doesn't look as bad as Calendar ...
