With the exception of Border, only the main output of each station is carried. That means that you can't get:
Central East
Central South
Meridian West
Meridian East (I think there's a Meridian East too isn't there?)
Yorkshire East
Yorkshire South
Tyne Tees South
Anglia East
Westcountry North
Westcountry East
Westcountry West
Aswell as differences in programme services, there are also many advertising regions which aren't carried i.e. Meridian is actually divided into 5 sub regions on terrestrial to allow for the provision of local adverts, only 1 of which appears on Dsat.
I would expect the other versions of Central News to appear in time, probably not much more than that.

On Scottish and Grampian TV there are ads for advertising on Scottish TV/Grampian TV Micro Regions. Don't really understang them, so have Scottish/Grampian got different Areas or something?

Micro regions are regions with no difference in programme output, they merely support different advertising. AFAIK, there is no different news provision on Scottish and Grampian, but it does make sense that the geographically large areas they cover would have more than 1 advertising region.

It's Tyne Tees south isn't it? Tyne Tees north is the main output (Newcastle). South is Teeside.

There are 16 ITV1 regional variations on DSat. With two exceptions, only one version of each region franchise is carried. (So only one Anglia, one Central, one Meridian, one Westcountry, one Yorkshire, one Tyne Tees region etc. This really only impacts on the local news and advertising)
The two exceptions to the "one version" rule are HTV and Border, who both broadcast to more than one nation, so HTV Wales and HTV West, Border England and Border Scotland are all carried on DSat.

Same programme output only different ad regions - Grampian is Tayside, Grampian and Highlands.

Yep - Anglia also have 3 advert micro regions, with only 2 news sub regions. This is because the Anglia East region is provided via 2 main transmitters (Tac and Sud) which can be split for ads.
Similarly I believe that Meridian can split its region into at least 4 micro regions for ads, even though there are only 3 news sub-regions. (There were suggestions that the ITV South and South East franchise could be split into 4 news sub-regions - but I suspect these will go no further now the main ITV aim is to reduce regional costs)
BTW - did anyone see that ITV has a regional co-ordinator kind of figure, Clive Jones, who aims to roll out an ITV regional news template, in line with ITV national news. This "could" mean a move nearer to the BBC style corporate look?? (Or maybe just a more consistent editorial style?)
