TV
the programme that lasted till about a year ago, asian eye (or was that the other one?), well anyway, was news about british asians in the midlands with news from the indian sub continent. it was presented from the central news east set by a central news east reporter (most of whom are not of asian origin) - and always in english.
central also made a soap about an asian family in the 90s. shame its all gone
i cant remember any news programming in asian languages - although i think they did at one point show indian films, like yokshire/tttv used to until recently.

Come to think of it, were any of the Asian community programmes that used to be on Central in the 1990s news related or just magazine shows?
