No regional announcement at 10

Well the topic title says it all:P:

We did have a BBC ONE Y&L Clock though.

Is the Hull opt out working tonight by the way?

I've noticed they sometimes miss out the regional announcement at 10:00, once in a while.

The Midlands got it.

Yes, the Hull opt out worked. It was, is her name Kathy Killic? or am I thinking of someone else?

Sometimes you get the network clock/voice if time is very tight and there isn't time to play the local recorded announcement, otherwise it's probably because they forgot to opt or if for some reason the news doesn't start at exactly ten, (rarely of course)

why is it that they keep missing the opening thunderclaps of the headline bed - why does this happen (quite regularly - although, at six,they start the bed a little later and we get a little glimpse of Huw, then the music starts)

With other regions it's good, regional continuity on BBC 1 and all that. But here in the NE the tape of the clock is beginning to look so sad (so grainy with loads of dropouts) I'm starting to wish they didn't bother.

My how BBC NE has gone downhill of late. Familiar story....

You are thinking of somebody else Mike. Kathy Killick has been presenting the main Look North all week, Helen Philpot is the queen of the Hull opt out. Maybe you should familiarise yourself with the Philpot shrine on my website !
