Interesting, I wasn't expecting BBC TWO Midlands to have anything special. I thought a normal BBC TWO ident would be used. Which would make sense really - as the programme goes out on BBC TWO Midlands and BBC TWO East Midlands.

Also interesting to see that there is no website URL on the ident. Is this added by the pres. dept so to speak. In other words, Pebble Mill have been given a 'clean' BBC TWO Midlands ident.

well people in notts., derbyshire, leicestershire etc. are in the midlands - the eastern part of the midlands. i imagine the reason they dont call the pebble mill region 'BBC West Midlands' is confusion between the county and the region (ie excluding staffs. warks. salop, etc.)

though i would have imagined east midlands might have bothered to play a local announcement over (to keep things consistant, ie. bbc1 east mids & bbc2 east mids) or even better, they could get there own show, now that john hess is in nottingham answering the phone anyway on sunday.

btw. when east and west show a different version of Midlands Report, do east midlands show a bbc2 east mids ident?

Theres regional programmes again tonight:

BBC TWO Yorkshire & Lincolnshire showed 'The BBC Sports Awards in the North'

The ident which introduced it was Bounce with just 'BBC TWO' in the purple box.

Also it was shown in 4:3 meaning the box moved compared with the trailer which was shown previous to it:D
