Sadly, I missed it!Sad
North of Westminster started 1 minute early, and the opening titles were already in full flow, when I turned over from Calendar Pick of the Week.

What did my region and your region use at 1 on BBC TWO

Sorry mate I missed it aswell, I was gonna watch 2 south becos, South East would of definetly used one of the normal idents becos they don't bother putting any region on their idents!
COME ON PPL, DID ANYONE SEE ANYTHING? AN OLD IDENT!

Whoops, missed it as well! By the way, it's not because BBC London can't be bothered to do regional idents, it's because its programmes are shown right across England on BBC2 digital.

I also missed it!!

But related...I decided not to watch MetroPol, and so i flicked onto BBC2 East, and I didn't recognise the studio, it had a screen on the wall which I'd never seen before, and there was lots of blue around on the walls in between the usual cream.

Was this just a different shot of the normal studio?

South

What I'd like to know is what replaced 'North East and Cumbria'...... that just won't fit in the purple box!

Don't they just use 'BBC TWO North'

'BBC TWO Yorkshire & Linconshire' is a long one, how did they fit it in (I missed it too).

For ther longer regions they will probably just use main letter, like for Northern Ireland it's 'NI'! Thanks for lettin me know what u saw ppl, I was hoping one region would show an old ident!

Trouble is, at least you can decipher NI as Northern Ireland. I'm not sure BBC Y & L or BBC NE & C would work!

Maybe they could take the BBC LDN approach:

East: EST
North: NTH
South: STH
West: WST

Although I'm sure someone will find a flaw...

Aaron, IIRC the studio you seen is another part of the Look East studio - although it isn't particularly near.

If it was the one I am thinking about then it has a screen in the 'centre' and a generic style appearence. Although the appearence is changed for the East at Westminster programme. It's very rarely used during the main Look East programme but you sometimes see it when Stewart or Susie have a special interview - usually pre-recorded.

I've not read the thread entirely yet. But if your going on about the BBC 2 idents I saw a Northern Ireland one. It had
BBC
TWO
NI

God knows where I saw that being up in scotland!

Probably on The TV Room website or on Sky Digital.
