During tonight's EastEnders the generic BBC Regional News titles was heard whilst the Slaters (I think) were watching TV... Either they have a Sky Dish and were watching UK Today, or someone made a boo boo and used the old Newsroom South East (which used to be made at Elstree, the same production base as East Enders) rather than the funky new BBC LDN titles...

Didn't concentrate enough to hear if it was the English generic or the slightly modified UK Today (anyone else spot the missing phrase in the UK Today titles?) version - but it wasn't LDNs version...

Hmmm - anyone spotted a Sky box in the Slaters front room? Could they be waking up to NickyS at Breakfast?

Yes I heard that music on the TV on EastEnders. I thought either that scene was filmed before 1st October (before BBC LDN started) or it's UK Today they're watching. It sounded more like BBC Newsroom Southeast to me.

Mistakes like this are made all the time, I suppose they don't think it's that important! Of course, there are always people like us, that insist on spotting the small things. Smile

It's not unusual to see someone in Emmerdale watching the old Calendar or an edition of Tonight with Gaynor Barnes or Christine Talbot - despite it finished long ago!

Always used to be able to hear GLR on in the cafe... not that (at the time) you could find a cafe or shop anywhere within the M25 which didn't have Capital Punishment coming out of their radio! http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/cheesy.gif

People don't really notice things like that in a programme. The Eastenders have had Newsroom South East on. The Eastenders now watch BBC LDN.

They dont make it genuine! They dont have to use the proper music or idents. Hollyoaks listen to MFM (a radio station) using clips from 1997.

But to be honest it doesn't REALLY matter - it's a soap: Walford tube station isn't on the tube network, Albert Square isn't in the A-Z. The only people who would actually notice this is overly obeservant ppl like us - after all EastEnders is screened all across the UK to people who wouldn't receive LDN anyway, and all across the World (BBC Prime and BBC America I think!) to people who will never receive LDN!

I think someone should tell them, surely it's an invasion of privacy? Also, someone should tell Peggy that I saw Grant on ITV1. Smile

ITV1? Sky Minidish? What you talking about? There's only one programme on telly and that's Weakest Link Wink
