Well, the sets look incredible, at least. Not too sure about the mix of CGI ships and model sets, so I'll reserve judgement until I've seen more (although I suspect I'm going to wish they'd stuck with one or other instead of the mix), but I definitely don't think much of the character animation. I'd have liked to have seen them go the mo-cap route as with Captain Scarlet, which I thought worked really well.

I read that the crafts are models also, there were some photos taken with the Thunderbird 1 model during one of those new toy fairs.

^Yeah, can't show them flying or travelling underwater with models without using strings - which is exactly what the CGI serves to replace.
