Well, it's Friday and the ITV1 schedule looks good and robust. However, the over reliance on soaps is stunting the growth of other drama. In addition, the early evening (i.e. after CITV) is looking poor in comparison to Channel 4. So, here's my two penneth for debate
1700 Early Evening Magazine
Similar to YTV's Tonight programme
1730 ITV Evening News
Lets face it, the BBC, wins National. Beats me, ITV is just as good
and more human.
1800 Regional News Programme
1830 Game Show
Catchphrase, All Clued Up or similar. Nothing too taxing
1900 Emmerdale
one soap is good. Lets ditch Corrie back to M, W and Su
1930 Sit Com
somebody must surely be able to come up with another Duty Free
2000 Drama/Comedy
something similar to Booze Cruise
2200 Sports Show
probably regional. Similar to YTV's current Leeds, Leeds, Leeds.
I'm from Sheffield, but even this interests me!
2230 ITV Evening News
ditch the silly Ten tag and get it to a place it can be easily found.
During the week, this also accomodates other Films with a long
run time
2300 After The News
anybody who was watching TVS in 1991 will recognise this.
Something akin to Jules Holland's show. Would appeal to all
ages. Songs, comedy and chat.
2400 Late Night
for the 'yoof' market
