Does seem early to be switching to repeating content ...
Well said Brekkie, I have an inkling that past RNDs they've had enough first-time content until midnight, and started repeating earlier sketches after midnight.
I watched from 7-10pm. I mainly reiterate what Brekkie mentioned earlier, I'm not a big fan of Davina, but she is a solid presenter, the sketches were fine and there wasn't a reliance on teeny bopper bands which CiN tends to have more of. The male presenters were also good and not just an excuse to get any old Radio 1 hipster on.
The use of the Palladium was excellent and I hope they do that again in 2017.
Just before they opened up to text donations I noticed that a little BBC One branded caption popped up saying to not donate via text as the system wasn't working or something, but I didn't see them reference this on-air, and certainly a moment or two later they were going on about donating via text. Seemed a bit odd not to mention it on-air, or put another caption up saying it'd been fixed.
Presumably as with all live broadcasts nowadays, the show is on a considerable delay, perhaps 30 minutes or more.

Is the delay really that great? I'd always assumed that these things were pretty close to live, with delayed live coverage only really seem in the realms of the news when they think something upsetting might happen in live footage, or as with the Brits the other week when they were a seconds-minutes delayed to bleep the Kanye song.
Ryman coudl have rasied more money but never had enought stock. I do think its alright to repeat a couple of skecthes,
I do wish you'd stop stating things as an example of a trend/as a fact because something has happened in your area. There have been no reports of widespread panic as Ryman's ran out of stock, so I can only assume this is something that happened at a store local to you, meaning it may not have been indicative of the picture nationwide.

It certainly couldn't have been 30 minutes before 10pm, considering Dermot O'Leary's 7:20pm challenge finish time.
I recall reading that the Big Brother live shows on Channel 4 were on a 15 minute delay which can still technically be classified as 'live'. I wasn't trying to pinpoint it exactly, just showing that it could be on a considerable delay. After looking up the post on TV Forum though, it was 15 not 30 - sorry.

Presumably they start repeating after 11 so those coming home from the pub can see what they've missed
I don't think the telethons are ever on a massive delay, if at all. As for the repeats - yes, they're normally later in the evening but with Comic Relief it's usually much later than 11pm or so.
