Does anyone know why it was overrun so much? I set Sky+ to record the night bits and set it to end at 3:10.. only to find out at 3:30 it was still showing.

It was shown late on in Russell Brand's shift, at something like 2.30 - 3.00am.
Surprised no one's mentioned Armando Iannucci's "Time Trumpet" treatment of Comic Relief through the years, but it's probably because it was also shown so late. Some great old clips from the archives and very funny it was too, particularly the stuff about Jonathan Ross urinating on the audience.

A shame that it's on YouTube when the point is for people to buy it to raise money for charity!

Comic Relief has always overrun - always!
What happened to Numberwang - that was one of the things I was looking forward too! Loved the Mitchell and Webb Table of Reds sketch though, going on about Hazel Irvine for a change. Ironic also she missed her cue !
Tony Blair was brilliant - and I think Catherine Tate certainly outdid Little Britain last night, though they're both past their best. Little Britain would have been better if they'd been actually live in the studio, not live recorded three months ago!
EDIT: Just got to Numberwang on the late night recording - was supposed to be on at 9.30 though, not 2.30!
A good night overall though - I think the presenting teams worked really well actually, pairing up a "comedian" with a female presenter - so one could concentrate on the "funny" and the other on the "money".

I havent seen all of it, but what I saw last night I thought it was brilliant
The sketch with Tony Blair and Lauren (Catherine Tate) was wonderful
Everytime I see a pic of mr Blair in the future, I'll think of him going "Am I bovvered"
it was brilliant
and i liked the Top Gear of the Pops too - very good - Supergrass nearly being blown off the stage by that wind machine, and Ade Edmonson on guitar
v well done
