Did anyone notice that the Hippo's on BBC One London had Red Noses on them - sorry if already been mentioned

A nice touch, but as with 2003/2005 I suspect the Red Nose Hippos were designed with "we won't have to bother in '09" in mind.

Basil Brush looked like the only person who was getting the words right the songs.

Brilliant stuff from Peter Kay once again - the Catherine Tate sketches are brilliant aswell.

A good presenting line up so far too - even Fearne Cotton is bearable for charity! I think though events like this show that Chris Evans is probably still one of the best live TV presenters around.

£7million odd from Sainsbury's Shocked

Wonder how many of the names on the credit sequence on the Peter Kay/Matt Lucas/Proclaimers video were actually there... I doubt Lord Lucan or Shergar were, but I did spot Benny from Crossroads, Dusty Bin and Rod, Jane and Freddy which did for me Smile

This shows the difference between Comic Relief and Children in Need. Take That are on as only the 2nd musical performance of the evening. We'd be on 22nd performance on CiN

There's a 'comedy' anno on BBC TWO coming up into Top Gear if anyone can catch it

A "f*cking" said on BBC1 before 10pm on Comic Relief, that right?

So Top Gear is being played out from TC1 rather than pres?

Great evening. Peter Kay was brilliant - I didn't think he could top Amarillo, and ok, it wasn't as good as that but... where does he pick up all the "has beens" from? Razz Rod, Jane and Freddy....brilliant!

I take it Chris Evans was meant to host a special TFI Comic Relief special but it got badly cut due to time. Andrew Lloyd Webber didn't know what he was doing!

Ha! Nice to see strong language warnings get a long-overdue sending-up.

lol some great faces on the Peter Kay vid, Terry Nutkins, Dust Bin and he always seems to get Roy Walker on his stuff. Laughing

Too late flipping channels - what was said?

And good timing for both channels - I'm sure there's many occasions a simulcast would have failed spectacularly!
