It's remarkable that Catherine Tate got to work with four Great British institutions: James Bond, Doctor Who, the Prime Minister and Noel Edmonds. That's one hell of a gig for a relatively new comedian.

I've captured the 10pm BBC2 continuity...

Comic Relief has always overrun - always!

Considering this year most items were pre-recorded, I'm still surprised how they managed such a large over-run, it's not as if there was much impromtu studio stuff

It seems that all presenters were supposed to be on for an hour

But Jonathan and Fearne did 10.35 to 12.00, Graham and Davina did 12.00 to 01.30, Russell Brand did 01.30 to 3.05

The recorded highlights programme might as well not have been made, I doubt many people were watching at 3.10am. A new meaning to the words late night

They should really have changed the listings, I know many people set the video for some late night bits and ended up with different stuff

Mind you unlike CiN they did stick to the listings right up to 00.00.

There was a woman handing over the proceeds of a whip-round to Russel Brand who said her name was Beccy Wright - was this the continuity announcer?

Well pop pickers it seems the song has made it to No 3 already. Not bad for two days worth of sales but even more interesting is that the original by the Proclaimers has charted at No 37.

The stupidity of the great British public will never cease to amaze me - muppets downloading the original thinking it was the Peter Kay version
