No, then that'd get confused with BBC2's big 2. You never know though, the robot 2 could burst through Tent with a red nose stuck on his head...

Of all the people to promote the fundraising events on BBC local radio stations, why did they pick Vanessa Feltz to promote them?
Are they taking the idea of The Big One too literally in this case? Or should that be The Big Two?

Erm, The Big Two was my attempt at a double entendre...

I did copy the schedule for Friday nights show somewhere - not sure where.
Anyhow, not that strange in that she's been doing stuff for Comic Relief the last couple of times, but Fearne Cotton is amongst the presenting team on Friday night (why, I don't know!) - so is she possibly the first to front Children in Need and Comic Relief?
I guess Gaby Roslin might at some point have hosted an hour, but I only really recall her appearing as a guest, along with hosting the special editions of The Big Breakfast which used to kick off Red Nose Day. Now I guess that's Radio 1's job.

If they were going for somebody from BBC Radio London for the sake of convenience I'd have thought Danny Baker was a better choice. But then I'd have expected that trail to have been made/commissioned by BBC English Regions in Brum.

Of course at one time the regions would have done their own trailers
or at least different endboards would be made so it didn't say "BBC Local Radio" at the end

Thankfully not - there never has been either as far as I'm aware. The main show flows far better than Children in Need so introducing them wouldn't be appropriate really.

Dawn French was on Richard and Judy earlier discussing the "last ever" Vicar of Dibley and that Lenny will be opening The Big One tonight with Girls Aloud and The Sugababes. I just hope we don't see much of Fearne - she really grates on me and I find her quite patronising at times.
