Getting back to the programmes the "It's your Comic Relief" programme last night on BBC1 was outstanding.

We often see celebs reporting on the issues from Africa and telling us how the money is spent - but taking some fundraisers out there added something else to the programme and made the connection between the fundraising and the result.

There was no Red Nose Day in 1988. It's only ever in years that end with an odd number (i.e. every 2 years).

The first two Red Nose days were consecutive until 1989 when it took place every two years.

Actually there was. The first Comic Relief telethon and Red Nose Day was in February 1988.

Yes quite true... The first one was 1988 then in 1989 then the next one in 1991

I seem to found a nose that isn't shown on that flash presentation, its just like the 1991 one except with no hands, was there some knock off ones doing the rounds or something!

I know BBC Newsreaders do something for Children In Need, but do they do anything for Comic Relief?

Well this is what some 'celebrities' who are no on Fame Academy are on...
...Comic Relief in Da Bungalow. I believe it is 6 'celebrities' per day over the week. Anyway I've uploaded a copy of the title sequence, enjoy.

Also notice Hollyoaks are running a Comic Relief storyline throughout the week.

It was very entertaining today too. I hope that the guests are as random as today's all week.

I loved the first game whilst as always Dick & Dom went through the prizes, they asked them to pair up into 3 pairs and come up with a joke about an item (Brian & Sian didn't quite get the gist), and Fearne & Michelle from libery x paired themselves together whilst leaving Roland Rivron and Ed Burnes, surely it should have been one comedian with one presenter, anyway!

I don't understand why there's a big gap. Why could they have handed CBBC over to Dick & Dom, perhaps have them starting at 4, including the programmes have the CBBC generic animation into Newsround and even surround Neighbours before crossing to BBC Two.

It's also strange how they appear to be on all week, bar friday. I can understand that they sort of reherse for the main show on Saturday (the last one live show I believe), but surely they could have done something on CBBC. They've gone to big efforts on other years, for example 1999 when Sally Grey and Steve Jones took over the afternoon and spent it looking at what kids had been doing and previewing the evening and going behind the scenes.

Very annoyed that Grange Hill has been sidelined to make way for the dreadful duo. If GH was kept in the old 5pm slot, this wouldn't have happened.
