Red or Black?

Well, it's a great schedule tonight for ITV1 - Red or Black, The X Factor and The Jonathan Ross Show.

What are everyone's hopes for SyCo's new gameshow format?

It already feels a bit stale, and it's not even been on yet! A lot of recent Ant and Dec formats have had gimmicks shoehorned in, like 'Push The Button' where the button was entirely irrelevant in every single instance - such as "push the button and we'll see what the scores are".

Red and black seems like a similar sort of shoehorn gimmick. "Will David Hasslehoff complete his skydiving challenge? Vote now - red for yes, or black for no" when 'yes or no' would be sufficient - but then it'd just be "You Bet!"

Of course, it may be the best thing ever - we shall see.

I'm not convinced at all by the scheduling of Red or Black - for a new gameshow to split into two with a half-hour results show seems an unnecessary risk, and surely it would have made more sense to launch it tonight off the back of ITV's highest rated show, not air it beforehand against the BBC's flagship Saturday night show.

Tonight's schedule would have made more sense looking something like this:
7.30pm The X Factor
8.30pm Red or Black
10pm Jonathan Ross

I'd consider it great if The X Factor wasn't present.

There should have given Duel a second series, or even Shafted.

As much as I'm curious to see Ant n Dec's latest TV vehicle (not very) it clashes with The Doctor on t' other side!

Your profile doesn't state you own a video recorder of any kind (whether it be a VCR or a DVR!), I would suggest to you to get one!

I agree, I think they should have made a second series of Duel or Pokerface.

Duel was a very good format in my opinion.

Seen R&B through to the end - very tedious format I think. Nightly for a week (not Tue) I think is too much. Over to £1m Drop which at least allows a little more participation and element of skill

Seeing someone win a million seemed such an anti-climax. The pain of losing (what they never had!) makes much better TV!
