The justification for the Red Been name is classic crap:
Quote:
Creative consultants Antidote, working with Red Bee’s in-house design team, said they chose the name to reflect the company's roots and its breadth of services. Red has always been Broadcast’s corporate colour and ‘Bee’ was chosen because they are one of nature’s expert navigators.
Pam Masters, CEO of Red Bee Media, said that Red Bee Media's aim was to help the consumer become 'equally adept as navigators'.
‘All our services bring stories and people together – whether it be a news story on BBC World, a promotion on UKTV Food for Ready Steady Cook, delivering last week’s episode of EastEnders over broadband on the interactive media player, or the latest football highlights to a 3G mobile,’ she said.
'We wanted to find a simple human expression of what we stand for. We recognised that everything we do across the company is ultimately about stories.'
BBC Broadcast, which was formerly known as Broadcasting and Presentation (B&P), was incorporated into a commercial subsidiary of the BBC in April 2002.
