I'm in the same opionion of CDUKJunkie in that there is no edition this year - seems to typify ITV a little as there is no music show on the channel anymore - and if anyone states The X-Factor well that programme is a showcase for the judges rather than the so-called wannabe hopefuls and also don't forget even Stars In Their Eyes has been axed!!!!
Stars In Their Eyes hasn't been axed. They didnt know what to do with the show but they mentioned it wasnt being axed, they were working on a revamp.
When I asked them they said Stars in their Eyes is taking a break but may return next year.
Cat wanted the show to move to London so she could travel between Amercia (where she now lives) and there a lot easier.
Hmmmm been reading too many Des Lynam / Countdown articles?
Does it actually matter where a show is filmed? For all we know, Stars in their Eyes could be being filmed in Japan but they just tell us its in Manchester. There is no proof (unless you have been).
If they moved it to London and told us it was in Granada, we would probably believe them.
I dont think it matters where a show is filmed, just as long as its on if its good.
Well of course it doesnt matter to that extent where it is made, but its nice if shows that are Granada Television productions are made in Manchester or Liverpool. To me shows made at the London Studios are LWT.

Let them keep her. America is welcome to Cat Deeley!.
2006 Greatest Hits is to be shown on the 8th December at 9pm.
From radiotimes.com -
Vernon Kay hosts an exclusive, retrospective celebration of the very best music from the UK and International music scene, featuring all the big music stories from the year, in-depth interviews with artists and special guests, and one-off live performances from Jamiroquai, Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Keane, James Morrison, Kasabian, the Fratellis and Scissor Sisters.
I think is the first show to get the usual "ITV and Rennie Christmas Entertainment" treatment this year .
Can't imagine some of these more credible acts turning up for Record of the Year but no doubt the show will be much less popular for it.
Scheduling is a bit bizarre as well, Friday night when the majority of it's audience will be out are at Christmas parties. The canned laughter is annoying too, especially during that Chris Moyles chat.
