Is anyone else disappointed by this show this year?
They've moved it into what looks like a Top of the Pops studio, I much prefered the big stage set-up.
Half of the performances weren't live, in fact i wonder if the whole first part of this show is live?
Glad to see they've kept the Eurovision style voting though, you have to text the name of your region and the first name of the act you're voting for this year, instead of them just having a total 'text vote' result.
So it's Record of the Year time again, and ITV at this point normally tips a nod to the regions.
Except this time many have been combined (A Scotland region rather than three), an England north instead of the several stations there. No appearance of the Channel Islands.
Also - the new way of getting round the text votes is fatally flawed. You need to type in your region plus the act, but surely you could just type in "Northern Ireland", as your votes would proportionally count for more than "England south", a region that presumably counts for about half the population of the UK.
The ban on charity and novelty songs just looks like a desperate attempt to let Westlife win - again.
Btw - the SMG announcer is so asleep I've already screamed "Oh f***ing wake up" at the telly. It's a job so many would kill for, and she sounds as if she's asleep at the controls. The idents get more curious - Stephen Jardine, presenter of the political programme, before The X Factor.
I think they shouldn't have bothered with the show, they should just have given the award to McFly and be done with it. Not that I think McFly deserve to win, in fact they have the least talent on the whole shortlist (much like Busted did last year), but seeing as how all the 12 year old girls mass vote for it, and every year the winner has been who the 12 year olds have fancied, it's obvious it's them who's going to win.

No point in the show. The 12 year old girls will vote forMcFly.They should have just given the award to them at the start and been done with it. The real talent never wins this show, most of it fails to even make the shortlist.
No, it's definatly going to be McFly. I'd put my house on it- if I owned a house. Westlife are old hat with the teeny bopper girls, McFly are who they all have crushes on at the moment.

Hmmm, well my vote goes to James Blunt; he's really pushed the boat out this year compared to the others.
Im voting for Daniel Powter, his song "Bad Day" is my fave out of the shortlist there. I like "You Raise Me Up" but I dont want Westlife to win it again, especially with a cover version.

I doubt the majority of those voting think so much about how they're going to rig it
