I hate to be boring and an anorak here, but Daniel Bedingfield shouldn't have been included, as his song was actually Number 1 in October 2002!

Someone else needs a copy of the Guiness Book Of Hit Singles- It was number 1 in December 2002.

BTW, why the hell were Westlife int he runnign anyway? It's a prententious load of crap that's only been in the charts for 2 weeks! Come on, for once, let Record of the Year be won on talent, not on who 12 year old girls fancy the most. It should be a song that we will still be hearing in 20 years time, not a pile of crap that everyone will have forgotten about in 2 weeks (trust me, in 5 years no-one will remember who Busted & Westlife are, while Dido & Daniel Bedingfield will still be shifting records). The average life of any Pretentious pop band, no matter how sucessful, is 2-5 years. Once the 12 year old girls move onto their next crush, the old acts are history. At least records by talented bands continue to sell because they are bought because of talent, not attractiveness. Look at the rolling stones- still shifting records after 40 years in the biz. Can anyone see Busted or Westlife lasting anywhere near that long.

I am disapointed it wasnt Daniel who won - he deserved it more than Westlife AGAIN! And their song has only been in the charts a few weeks so how can they say its record of the year.

Noticed it was Gethin Jones who gave the results for Wales and West and he said "Noswaith Da" to everyone Very Happy , im glad it was someone from Wales not the West.

Also noticed they called Westcountry, Carlton West - surely it would have been easier just to say Westcountry, people may have confused Carlton West with HTV West.

It was actually released in November 2002, and was in the chart for 23 weeks, the vast majority of which were in 2003.

I knew Westlife would win it, but there is no way THAT is Record of the Year. Stupid teenage girls on the redial button. Who did the Yorkshire results ?

Yeh he was, though it was more of a HTV joke, if you get what I mean. Laughing

They were all really minor presenters - some more than others, though. I recognised at least two of them as presenters of the old CBBC programme, "UKool"!

I wanted Justina to give the results for Wales (or anyone from HTV News but oh well)

The guy from Westcountry has presented a national programme, I'm sure of it. He's certainly been more exposed than the ITV1 London man - who the heck was that?

So who was this GILES guy for ITV1 London?

Im sure he was either off an episode of Blind Date and/or that sexual gameshow set in Marbella in Spain with Julian Clary and Denise Van Outen presenting it - oh what the hell was it called?!?!?!

PS EVERY region got their correct name on screen apart from ITV1 Wales and West and also ITV1 Westcountry.

What a real shame HTV was the only region not to have its correct (original) name onscreen.
