I'd prefer a revival of Winning Lines or 1 vs 100, even if they were cheaper than the originals.

Though the beeb had no input with it (to my knowledge) I wish the Xbox version still existed. Playing online with thousands of other people, winning gift cards and other more expensive prizes, and the times you were allowed to play were almost perfectly set up with the UK show finishing at 20:55 then the Xbox version going live at 21:00

The Colour of Money deserves a revival. A great format that lasted far longer as a quiz machine game than it did on TV

Or just revive their own 100%, rebrand it 1000% and air it for 5 hours.

And bring Robin Houston out of retirement.

Is it already two decades since Ian Lygo's 75-show run? He hasn't appeared on any other TV quizzes since, AFAIK...

Of only to see if they bring back Millie Clode as co-host in a tight black dress..

Actually, if it did come back whether they'd do it as the original format and non-broadcast pilot.
A multi contestant knock out quiz, with the overall winner playing against the cash machines for the prize money.

Problem with the actual version you saw, it was a 5 minute end game stretched out over 15-20 minutes, and the 'playing for the money to buy/give sob story' got in the way of risk taking - and therefore more exciting to watch - gameplay.

Chris Tarrant tried his best, but was hamstrung by questionable reformmating decisions designed to fit around the Saturday peak time slot it was given.

I remember that it was utter tripe.

The format flopped at a time Deal or No Deal was still popular - according to UKGameshows, the final editions weren't shown.

The quiz machine format, I would expect, was quite different from the actual show. There was also a slot machine made too, but far short of the dozens for Deal or No Deal (plus clones), that are still made today.

The game itself was pretty similar from what I remember, except with a variable number of quiz questions in each box.

The big problem with The Colour of Money was all the filling - the actual game mechanic of risk is fairly good
